Description:
Large black—painted rectangular safe has four wheels attached to base. Two doors open to reveal stamped patent date and name in gold. In center is cluster of orange flowers (paper adhering to the metal) framed by double gold lines that have curvilinear pattern at each corner. Two inner doors open to reveal wooden shelves and doors lined with carpet—like material. Doors lock with lever.
Inscription: "58766 Hall Patented April 3, 1906"
Notes:
Found in collections in Last Chance Mining Museum. (Compressor Building). These objects were acquired when city purchased Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Co. properties in 1974 from AEL&P who had purchased the properties from Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Co. in 1972.
