Description:
Nine approximately 4 feet by 2 feet pieces of stained glass framed together. Lower two—thirds of image is fluidly placed pieces of browns, golds, and purples topped by band of green, wider band of clear rippled glass, a silvery, milky band, and finally a thin band of clear glass at top. Overlaying brown and gold portion is single vertical line of clear glass with six horizontal bars of clear glass crossing the vertical at regular intervals and ascending from right to left. Panes are framed with finished oak trim. Plaque mounted on wall on right side of window.
Inscription: "Dedicated in memory of Leslie Murray who believed in learning from history and art / Stained glass by Bruce Elliott".
Notes:
Fund is administered by Larry Persily, husband of Leslie Murray. Leslie Murray spent approximately two—three years researching Juneau's history and writing a number of articles for the Juneau Empire. She died in 1987.
