Metal expansion drill bit. One end comes to a point and has small, close together screw threads. Above this point is a flat metal piece with measure marks in a slot and secured with a standard head screw. Partially readable text on the shaft reads: STEER'S PATENT OE ENNINGS N.Y.". The other end of the bit is shaped into a four sided pyramid with a flat top.
