Description:
Print of a drawing by Dale DeArmond titled "Hoonah Chief". Drawing is of a native man wearing regalia. He is wearing a carved headdress that has a round brim, an animal's face and four arms along the front and a potlatch on top with an animal's fur tail comes out of the top of it. The man has his ear pierced three times and is wearing a tooth necklace. The man is slightly turned to the proper left and is being viewed at an angle. Along the lower edge of the print there is text handwritten in pencil reading: "Hoonah Chief Edition — 14/100 DeArmond — 1960". The print is framed and matted. The frame is a dark, almost black, wood. It has a double mat. The lower mat is gold with a black edge. The upper mat is cream in color. The back is covered with a black paper dust cover. On the dust cover along the lower edge is a white sticker with black text reading: "Prints, posters & original artwork \ available at Rainsong Gallery \ 1—800—540—0809 \ www.rainsonggallery.com".
