Description:
Pen drawing of a Tlingit canoe. Inside the canoe are six men paddling with oars. At the bow of the boat is a stylized eagle figure with leaf like wings. The canoe is resting on a platform held up by 18 visible pillars. The platform has an uneven surface representing water waves. The bottom section of the canoe's hull is not visible (as though it was sailing through the water platform). Below the drawing is a horizontal line with the corresponding dimension measurement of 20 feet. To the proper left of the drawing is a vertical line with the corresponding dimension measurement of 8 feet. In the lower proper right corner handwritten in pencil is the text: "Tlingit Canoe I". Verso is covered in adhesive residue.
