Description:
Stanley brand smoothing plane made of metal and wood. The handle and knob are both made of wood, stained dark. The knob is attached to the bottom with a standard headed screw. The bottom, lever cap, plane—iron cap, plane iron, lateral adjudging lever and frog are all made of metal. Text on the base in front of the handle reads: "US PAT \ APR—19—10". Text on the front of the level cap reads: "STANLEY". Text on the plane iron reads: "STANLEY \ RULE & LEVEL CO. \ NEW BRITAIN, CONN. \ U.S.A." Text on the base around the knob reads: "BAILEY \ No 4 \ MADE IN U.S.A.".
