Description:
Round heavy porthole has center made of double rounds of glass. Two pieces of round brass are hooked together with rounded horizontal latch handle. Two brass screws are missing on rim (eight holes). Two rounded hinges are on opposite side from latch handle.
Notes:
Collected in 1980's on diving expedition. Clara Nevada, Eldred Rock — ca. 1898.
Used in steamship ex. 1988.
