Description:
Officer's regulation navy blue wool hat, JPD or possibly JFD. Wool cover permanently attached to black braid band. Decorative gold metal, segmented band on front of hat held in place by 2 gold buttons. Brim is black vinyl. Band lined with perforated leather, crown lined with gold rayon. Clear plastic stitched over label. Synthetic stiffener between black braid and leather liner. 4 grommets, 2 on either side.
Inscription: "NUDELMAN BROS. / A UNIFORM / FOR EVERY PURPOSE / PORTLAND / SEATTLE / TAILORED BY LANCASTER / FOR THE MAN WITH ..." gold diamond manufacturer's label stitched inside crown.
"MADE OF / 100% WOOL / EXCLUSIVE OF ORNAMENTATION / RN 229 20" paper label attached to leather band.
