Description:
A — Desk lamp composed of barnacle, portion of stair banister, and base made of wood from organ; all parts from salvage of "Islander" shipwreck, 1901. Attached to lamp is Canadian National Pacific insignia, removed from back of salvaged chair. Lamp has traditional hardware and cord with flared shade in natural colored silk. (size is approximate).
B — Card written by M. Jensen explaining shipwreck and assembling of lamp.
Notes:
"Islander" sunk in 1901, later that same year natives collected parts & pieces washed ashore. Donor's father—in—law, John Feusi, purchased salvage at that time from natives. Mr. Feusi gave donor banister & insignia. In 1935, "Islander" was raised & donor acquired barnacles (6—8") at that time.
