Rectangular shaped plaque. Lettering is raised and gold colored. Banded by a raised rim surmounted by a circular logo depicting a totem and mountains. Alaska Flag surrounded by "Alaska Centennial" and "1867—1967".
Inscription: "Alaska—Juneau Gold Mining Company. The AJ organized May 6, 1897 to manage 23 claims. This formed the world's largest low—grade gold mine. AJ produced $80,843,349.00 in gold before the mill closed in 1944".
