Magnetometer and Carrying Case

A: Magnetometer. Long cylindrical silver metal container. The top looks to be removable. It has a glass fixture, with a level and meter inside. Says "Jalander magnetometer / HELSINKI FINLAND / No 759" on the very top. Inside the glass fixture it says "Model / W505 / Moving Coil / Grade In. / Horizontal / Only" on the left and "Ser.No. / 1984853 / Tropical / 25uA / 1320 n" on the right. Just under the top on the body it says "80167" and there is a sticker that says "EXPLORATION METHODS INC. / P.O. Box 100 / Isphrming, Michigan U.S.A. / Range Calibration 9.4 288 96.7 300 980. The body is a long cylinder with three knobs near the top and a textured bar in the middle. There are also two fixtures on the back that allows the carrying strap to attach to the instrument. In between the two fixtures, there is a box with two sockets. The box says " EMI / REG BAT".

B: Carrying Strap
Adjustable leather strap, used for carrying magnetometer.

C: Case
Brown leather case with adjustable strap and three paper tags. The top of the case lifts open and there is a metal latch on the front, to hold it shut. On the top it says "U.S. Bur. of Mines, / Box 550, Juneau, / Alaska, 99801." There is the remnant of a sticker here. On the front of the case their is another sticker that says "Department of Interior / Bureau of Land Management / BAR CODE / 0417163"
