Description:
Square white linen table scarf is embroidered on edges with 16 gold fleur—de—lis 4 inches wide and 16 4—petalled white flowers. 8 gold triangles and 8 white circles line inner border. Double gold parallel lines about 4 inches. Edges irregular flowing contour of fleur—de—lis.
Notes:
Found among donor's mother—in—law, Gertrude Messerschmidt, who died in 1926. Her husband, Gustav Messerschmidt started the San Francisco Bakery, which became the Messershcmidt Bakery, in 1899. It is now the Silverbow Inn on Second Street in the Messerschmidt Building.
