Small brown glass vile with black plastic lid. Filled about halfway with the standard. Label on front says "Platinum Chloride, CP Baker's Analyzed Crystal / LOT NO. 6550 Wt. 1oz"

B: Canister Cap
Round metal cap with gold coloring, starting to rub off.

C: Canister
Cylindrical cardboard tube with metal base and top where cap screws on. Label on outside says "Platinum Chloride, CP Baker's Analyzed Crystal / LOT NO. 6550 Wt. 1oz"

Used for platinum testing, chemical analysis and ore benefaction testing of minerals with Platinum.

The standard will react in a known way when a test is performed on it. This is a known quality. A geologist will then perform the same test, under the same conditions with a platinum ore sample from the field. This will help them determine the properties of the platinum in the sample.
