Description:
Jaw type animal trap with 4.25 inch jaw opening. One 7.25 inch spring arm. Release mechanism has 2.5 inch diameter plate with 1.75 inch release catch. Trap base arm 1 inch by 5.25 inches. Jaws have 6 teeth, 3 on each side of under side of jaw. Jaws attached to base of trap by two 0.5 inch pins on one side and machined fittings on other end. Chain attaches to trap by welded swivel and line attached to spring arm.
Inscription: Engraved into trap release plate: "NO. 2 / PAT" in center of plate.
"NEWHOUSE" around upper half of plate
"ONEIDA COMMUNITY, N.Y." around lower edge of plate — barely visible.
