Description:
Tall clear glass whiskey bottle made in a two—part mold. Embossed "L.T. Co" in fancy font at center surrounded by two rings. Between the two rings: "LOUIS TAUSSIG & CO./ SAN FRANCISCO, CAL." Bottle has internally threaded top, with its own stopper made of a hard black material embossed at the tip with the initials in the center and "LOUIS TAUSSIG & CO. RILEY" around the initials.
Notes:
Louis Taussig claimed to have begun in the wholesale liquor business in 1856 at 723 Sansane St. in San Francisco. He sold whiskey, and Prohibition put an end to the business. (Volstead Act, Jan. 16, 1920)
