Small oval plate in white—glazed ceramic with thin green and red stripes around inside of rim and red circular logo of Canada Pacific Railway Co. (including checked flag) in center of one inner rim. Manufacturer's mark off center on reverse: "JOHN MADDOCK & SONS / ENGLAND" with lion and banner reading "VITRIFIED"; below a stamp in red from "FREDERICK BUSCOMBE & CO LTD / VANCOUVER B.C.", who likely added logo and stripes. Steamship use.
Notes:
Given to donor by someone who scavenged from wreck area of Princess Sophia. Pattern on dish is known as "Tremblant" per local diver Annette G.E. Smith
