Description:
Nine grain sample specimen mounts. Round flat epoxy resin disks with grain samples exposed on one side and highly polished. Paper labels on backs with handwritten sample identification.
A — Coarse grained. White metal in non—opaque grains. Blue copper oxide. "12—22—66 / 10 X 28 / gue / brown / lin(?) / 6 123" on back
B — Fine grained. Two divisions of grains: higher density grains are opaque mineral concentrate, lower density has majority of non—opaque minerals. "3—10—70 / 6 / pyrr chaleo / 70—17". Primarily pyrrhotite and chaliopyrite (iron & copper sulfides).
C — Fine grained. Divided into three sections. "10/27—67 / Magn #1 / #silm / #2 part magn. gal & itn / 7153". Primarily magnetite and galena.
D — Fine grained. "8—27—69 / cubanite / 9—62". Copper sulfide.
E — Coarse grains. "7—10—70 / 29—WC—70 / C12 Mn + Ti / R202 O Mno Fe / W 173 Ti + Mn 70—64".
F — Fine grained. "Check / Bi / mineral".
G — Fine grained. "1—24—71" / ? Green ink…"
