Description:
Cylindrical maroon—colored container. Printing in off—white. Gun resting on round flanged silver— colored metal base. Top has numerous protrusions and spiraled gears. Two gears at right angles to each other. Centered vertically is grooved piece of metal (round); on right side rubbed hose is inserted into metal fitting. On opposing side is vertical lever with horizontal handle.
Inscription: "Allmite Portable High Pressure Compressor ... The One Ton gun" .... "64951"

Found in collections in Last Chance Mining Museum. (Compressor Building). These objects were acquired when city purchased Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Co. properties in 1974 from AEL&P who had purchased the properties from Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Co. in 1972.
