Description:
Wood engraving print using black ink. The illustration is of a man wearing a carved Kwakiutl Bird Mask. The bird carved on the mask has a long pointed beak and hair flowing down from the top of its head. The background is carved into stylized mountains or wind. Text written in pencil below the edge of the print reads: "Bird Mask — Kwakiutl — 1882 55/75 D. DeArmond — imp c 1980". The "c" is the copyright sign of a c with in a circle. The print is matted with a black mat with a white groove. The frame is silver metal.
