Large rectangular amber cork top, blown in mold, medicine bottle. Embossed "LASHE'S KIDNEY AND LIVER BITTERS THE BEST CATHARTIC AND BLOOD PURIFIER". The cork is loose inside bottle. Numerous bubbles. Seams just into neck.

Though Bitters had a high alcohol content, it was advertised primarily as a "tonic". See Doc. file. Supposedly made from the traditional Native American laxative Rhamnus purshiana, from the bark of the buckthorn tree, it was found to have high levels of alcohol and lead upon analysis.
