Description:
Two 13 inch by 13 inch pillow sections joined by two 1.5 inch fabric strips. Two additional long strips attached by metal rings for both sections of vest. Sturdy cotton exterior with filling of unknown material. Lettering in large black letters.
Inscription: "PRINCESS KATHLEEN"
"Jones Tent & Awning Ltd. Vancouver, B.C. / Manufactures of Lifebelts and Life Buoys" printed inside double circle.
Notes:
Acquired by Oakes family who lived near site of Princess Kathleen sinking. Presumably part of floating debris from shipwreck.
Princess Kathleen hit reef on Lena Beach off of Lena Beach Road
