Campaign pin for Mary Becker's School Board campaign.

Circular pin. Face has a red background and white writing. From top to bottom the pin face reads: "Elect / Mary / Becker / SCHOOL BOARD / Paid for by Committee to Elect Mary Becker / for School Board, / Lisa Messerschmidt, Jean Ann Alter, Co—chairs; / Margaret MacKinnon, Treasurer / P.O. Box 240522 Douglas, AK 99824". There is a thin horizontal line between "Becker" and "SCHOOL BOARD". Back of pin is concave, uncovered metal and has a pin backing attached to it. A clear sticker with black text is located below pin back and reads: "The Button Factory / (907) 789—4284".
Notes:
According to the Juneau Empire article "Becker wins education excellence award" published on Friday, October 19, 2007, Mary "Becker was a teacher in Juneau for 30 years. She served on the Juneau Board of Education for the past nine years, including four years serving as board president, one as vice president and one as board clerk. She also served as president and a two—term board member of the Association of Alaska School Boards." The article also states that in 2007, Mary Becker was an "outgoing" board member. Year range for undated campaign pin based off of this outgoing year and record of nine years service.
