Description:
Sculpture, Mixed Medium Sculpture
Sculpture is composed of a wooden vertical piece attached to a circular metal base. The base was cut from the top of a 55—gallon drum and has 2" x 6" boards attached to it to hold the vertical piece in place. On top of the wooden piece is a sand—cast, glass saw blade. The wood and metal pieces have been waxed.

Artist's statement: "I found the juxtaposition of the often fragile materials I used to portray everyday tools used for physical works such as a hammer, ax and sledgehammer, implies complete contradiction, a philosophy I strive to live by."
