Description:
A — 3.5 inches by 4.5 inches embroidered "500 CLUB" bowling patch. Patch is light blue with royal blue embroidered edge. Elongated pie—shaped, top half is arc, bottom half forms apex of triangle. Along top edge embroidered in black "JUNEAU ALASKA", center, embroidered in gold and royal blue is AK's flag. Below flag, embroidered in black "500 CLUB".
B — 0.75 inch by 0.5 inch metal pin, originally attached to right side of patch by safety clasp attached vertically to pin. Pin is circular w/ lower edge bisected by rectangle. Rectangle painted with blue enamel. Embossed and painted with brass color is star, then "500/CLUB", then second star. Center of circle has embossed bowling ball on left and bowling pin on right. Bowling pin bisects top edge of circle. Edge of circle has raised blue enamel border.

500 CLub was a women's bowling club. 500 was an individual score for 9 game series. Patch worn by Ellen (Harju) Frobese who lived in Juneau from 1935—1968. Delivered by daughter—in—law, Joan Harju. Married to Fred Frobese (born in Nome, 1903—1978 and lived in Juneau from 1940s—1968.)
