Information below from Ann Schultz, daughter of W.L. Grisham:
Drugstore was located in the Triangle Building where Hearthside Books is now
Harry Race had a drugstore in Ketchikan, expanded to Juneau in the early 1930's and eventually hired W.L. (Monte) Grisham to manage the drugstore. He lived in the Gastineau Hotel. Grisham bought the store in the 1950's. Grisham had recruited Jim McCorcle, who was only about 21 years old, to be the pharmacist. He eventually sold the store to Jim, who moved it down the street a bit. There were up to four drugstores on that street within a couple of blocks. This one was high end, and sold things like Elizabeth Aren cosmetics and Russell Stover candies. Mrs. Russell Stover apparently visited the store once during a steamship cruise. The store sold a Timex watch to Will Rogers, now in a museum in Oklahoma.

Harry Race had a son Bill, who was a mining engineer, who married Maxine. They had two sons, Jerry and Mike. Harry Race's grandson Jerry was the pharmacist at Foodland Pharmacy for many years....retired and moved south. Mike Race now sells real estate in Juneau. His son Pat Race owns Lucid Reverie and started up the JUMP society (Juneau Underground Motion Picture)
