Description:
A — 27 inches by 26 inches navy blue double—breasted band uniform jacket. Red epaulets with white trim at shoulders, fastened by button. Diagonal red strips with white trim at ends of sleeves. Two front gold buttons on either side of jacket, (four altogether to fasten jacket). Jacket fastens with two metal buttons and two plastic buttons (one of which is missing). Two additional metal buttons are decorative. Coat tail is longer than front. Jacket has been altered, shortening center front, probably to waist—length, so sides and back appear "tail—like"; piece approximately 8.5 inches by 10 inches has been removed from each side at center front. Raw edges have been machine stitched (edges turned in) to finish. Jacket lined with synthetic twill.. Red braid trim outlines upper collar.
B — 37 inches by 20 inches navy blue pants. Red strip with white trim running 105 inches down outside of both legs. Legs have been altered (taken in) at bottom hem and at inside seam of each leg.
Inscription: A — Stanbury & Company Uniforms / Brookfield, MO. / Stanbury & Company Uniforms Brookfield, Missouri" on inside tags on jacket.
B — "Stanbury & Company, Kansas City, MO."
