Description:
A — Long rectangular base of scale has series of pedestal ledges, edges of which have gold paint lines over red. Center post holds pivot for center of balance. Two side posts have four—armed supports for scoops. Balance arm is red with gold pin strip.
B — Long oval scoop on one end.
C — Circular pan with flat bottom and upturned edges on other end. Front of base has five circular indentations to hold weights of different sizes.
D—H — Different size of weights
Raised letters in metal on opposite side of base of manufacturer.
Inscription: "HENRY TROEMNER. PHILA. NO. 5. GEM"
