Description:
Milled donut—shaped cedar salmon gillnet float. Bored 0.75 inch diameter hole in center of "donut". Float surfaces on top and bottom of "donut" with about 0.25 inch round—over edges. Circumference of float smooth. "Donut" composed of 2 glued—up halves evident by near perpendicular grain. Dark color from pine tar(?) treatment — slight smell of pine tar.

From collection of beach combed items collected by Thomas S. Parke. Used on cork line of salmon gillnet.
