Miner's Hard Hat With Carbide Lamp

Description:
A—B — Green miner's hard hat with (B) carbide lamp attached. Hat molded from green micarta(?) (pre—plastic / pre—fiberglass material). Hat has uncushioned lining pliable black Leatherette, sweatband with black twill adjustable crown straps which snap onto hat. Yellow canvas chinstrap attached to hat, snap closure. Brown baculite attachment on front holds (b) lamp, which is brass and tin with red rubber around base.
Inscription: "Mine Safety Appliances Co., PGH, PA" on lamp holder.
"Auto Lite Reg. US. Pat. Office" "ON" "Universal Lamp Co. Chicago, USA" on lamp top.
