Aluminum sheet metal sign. Two 0.1875 inch diameter holes punched along top edge for hanging. Soluble paint indicates sign used indoors. 25 Faint pencil lines about and below each line of script from drafting.
Inscription: Painted on aluminum sheet, water soluble paint:
"FISHING LICENSES" in black 3.5 inch capital letters.
"SOLD HERE" in red 4.25 inch upper and lower case letters.
Black trim around edge of sign is 0.25 inch wide.

Sign likely saved for aluminum sheet metal. Sign possibly left over from sales of Territory of Alaska commercial fisheries licensing. T.S. Parke was employed by Territorial Dept. of Taxation and traveled through Southeast selling and checking commercial fish licenses during the 1950s.
