Description:
Dental kit is wooden box containing instruments and attachments.
A — 8.75 inches by 8.5 inches by 5.5 inches oak box has folding metal prop back left corner, lid which locks, pivoting handle on front side. Inside of lid lined with red velvet has (C) and (D) held by aluminum brackets and (E) through (H) fastened with one length of brown leather with screws on either side of instrument. Plaque on inside lid. Pencil writing on inside lid illegible. Bottom of box has black platform on level with top of sides.
B — 1.125 inches by .5 inches by .125 inch simple luggage—type key has three adjoining circles for handle.
C — 7.375 inches by .5 inch wooden—handled instrument has three—inch—long open—ended tube stuffed with red and green cords with brass screw tips. Tube is 8.75 inches long with cords.
D — 6.125 inch by .375 inch metal tube light with .375 inch nippled light bulb. Rod has screw thread end.
E — 1.5 inch by .75 inch (maximum) diameter stainless steel tube with flared cup.
F — 3.125 inch by .5625 inch stainless steel partial tube has round mirror at end which flips on hinge.
G — 1.4375 inch by .5625 inch stainless steel "PATENTED" tube has slightly flared top cut away one—third.
H — 2.75 inch by 1.125 inch stainless steel partial tube widens to slightly convex circle —— tongue depressor?
I — 2—inch round sponge sewed onto metal disc screws onto platform. To sponge's right is rod which screws onto post. In center are two levers, the left one with four settings and the right one with nine numbered settings.
J — 4.75 inch by .375 inch black—handled pick has rounded bulbous end and ridged rubber collar. Brown leather bracket.
K — Double red electrical cord connects to "P" post and "N" post with black screw ending. On right is ground wire, loop of screwed—down wire.
Inscription: "WOODARD, CLARKE & CO. / PORTLAND, ORG. / WHITEHEAD & HOAG, NEWARK, N.J."
