Description:
Brass key is connected to holder with 8.0 inch shaped brass hardware. Name of company in embossed lettering. Holder is brown, shape like elongated smooth—cornered diamond. Name of hotel and instructions for returning embossed with black paint in depressions, "10" is written in black ink on both sides.
Inscriptions on both sides of key and key holder.

Found in 92.10.269. Anna Snow's. Key is labelled on its edge. Circle City hotel 1905—1917 George F Miller and subsequent owners. Third street between Seward and Franklin.
Exhibit Label: The circle City Hotel opened February 22, 1896 and was electric lighted and steam heated with rates under $1.75 per date. It was located on Third Street between Seward and Franklin Streets until 1924. The key was owned by Anna Snow, matriarch of the theatrical pioneering family and great—grandmother of the donors.
