Description:
Navy blue jacket, windbreaker style with raglan sleeves. Center front metal zipper, knit collar, cuffs and waistband. Welt side pockets, left and right. White acetate with nylon flannel lining. Jacket made to commemorate U.S. Navy ship of World War II. On back is gold silk screen with four stars, ship name, image of ship, and pertinent events and dates.
Inscription: "U.S.S. JUNEAU CL—52 / LAUNCHED 25 OCTOBER 1941 / COMMISSIONED: 14 FEBRUARY 1942 / SUNK; FRIDAY, 13 NOVEMBER 1942".
