Description:
Gold plated ring.
On top of ring is a circular black enamel right with the words, "TERRITORY OF ALASKA" inside. Inside the black enamel ring it is engraved with man with a walking stick in the foreground and a sailing ship in the background. On the band of the ring, to each side of the central design is a figure of a totem pole. On the inside of the band, is printed "14K GOLD PLATE." The band has been broken and evidence of a repair shows at the bottom.

Notes:
Donor received the ring from his mother and father as a young child about 1929 or 1930. Donor stated that it was customary for kids to get a ring like this from their parents in Alaska at this time.
