Description:
Rectangular quilt with squares representing historical architectural features, people, and activities around Juneau. Nine squares in center surrounded by solid color pieces in gold, dark teal, and maroon. Twelve squares and solid/print triangles for surrounding band. Outer band consists of four representational rectangles and sawtooth—pattern triangles in beige and multi—color blue with maroon print corners. Black edging. Back has maroon print center with solid maroon border. Quilt squares' designer/maker names are stitched on back.

Notes:
Quilt squares were made by individuals, pieced and quilted by museum and Gastineau Channel Historical Society volunteers and then raffled to raise money in October 1900. Winner then offered to sell the quilt to the museum in April 1991.
