Description:
JPD officer's regulation blue wool shirt with navy cuffs epulets and pocket flaps. Fitted style with long sleeves and cuffs, 2 chest pockets, center front button placket, standard pointed collar. Small rectangle of blue cotton with 2 buttonholes to hold badge on left front. Each sleeve has shoulder patch identifying JPD. Small navy circular patch with gold star on left front sleeve just above cuff. No buttons on front placket, cuffs or epulets. Only 3 small blue plastic buttons, 1 on each cuff placket, 1 on center front placket.
Inscription: "GERBER UNIFORMS / UNION MADE MISHAWAKA, IND. / ALL WOOL" manufacturer's label with white lettering on black and blue rayon background.
Union label in hem illegible.
