Description:
Silver folded metal tape measure, in inches, which are divided up to 1/16". About every 6 inches, ruler is hinged so it can be unfolded for measuring. Inscription: "NO. 1216 / THE LUFKIN CO. / SAGINAW, MICH. / MADE IN U.S.A.". Edges where ruler unfolds are reinforced w/ brass. Numbers & hash marks are engraved and filled with black ink. Ruler is 7.75 inches by 1 inch folded.
Notes:
Used by donor's father—in—law, Grant Logan who worked in AJ Mine during 1940s. He probably used it outside of work.
