Description:
Swans Down metal measuring cup for dry goods with a handle. The cup is 2.56 inches tall and the diameter of the bottom of the cup is 2.62 inches. Along two of the sides are the markings indicating "one cup," "three fourths," "two thirds, " "one half," "one third," and "one fourth." The front of the cup has the following embossing "Swans Down Cake Flour Makes Better Cakes." The top of the cup is not perfectly round and appears to of been bent in several places.

This measuring cup was most likely used at the San Francisco Bakery in Juneau, Alaska by Gustav Henry and Gertrude Rosina Hermle Messerschmidt parents of Katherine Messerschmidt Shaw.
