Description:
A — 45.0 inch by 26.0 inch black dress, outer section; sheer crepe with extensive black appliqued silk cording (two weights, two types — one flat, other round) and patterning; two tiered scalloped hem; short sleeves; bow trims at side seams attached with pins; rounded neck.
B — 46.0 inch by 21.0 inch undergarment: lining section; black crepe (sheer but heavier than outer dress), round neck with appliqued trim; seven vertical rows of tucks from high neck in front; "V" neck in back; sleeveless; (arm eyes unfinished and deep (alternation?). At waist, nine vertical tucks at front center, two groups of five tucks each at back. Skirt in three tiers, two lower attached to dress by section of plain weave (warp faced?) black silk. Row of entredeux 2.5 inches above hem on innermost tier. Pins (straight, one safety) removed from bows.
