Description:
Hammer shaped powder and shot measure. May be adjusted to measure powder to nearest quarter grain of shot to nearest eighth ounce. To adjust, pull out inner cylinder to appropriate gauge position. Device consists of 2 concentric brass cylinders: outer cylinder has vertical slot gauge labelled (engraved): "POWDER DRAINS" 2 3/4, 3 1/4, … 5" on 1 side and on opposite side:"SHOT 03" "1, 1/8, 1 1/4, …, 2 3/8".
Inner cylinder, with knurled base, pulls out receiver for wooden handle soldered to outer cylinder.
Wooden handle: inserted into receiver and hold with pin.
