One hundred fifteen piece set of American Plastic Bricks in cardboard canister. (A) Canister has metal bottom and screw— on metal lid. (B) Set consists of red shaped bricks, green embossed cardboard roof and molded windows, window frames, doors and doorsteps. Paper instructions "D." Pieces collectively are "C." Main Label on canister: "American Plastic Bricks by Elgo" "No. 705 American Plastic Bricks by Elgo 115 Pieces" On Bricks: "American Bricks"
Notes:
Belonged to Marry Ann Parke. Used during 1950's. These bricks preceded the popular Lego bricks and were contemporaneous to "Lincoln Logs" This is the smaller of two sets of bricks used for endless hours of construction fun. Patent date is 1941.
