Title:
LIdded vase with Oriental pattern in blue
Description:
A small, cylindrical—shaped vase with a highly decorative "oriental" pattern. The pattern features two similar depictions of two people standing behind a large vase that is similarly decorated. Each figure looks off to the side. The floral decorations are of cherry blossoms and cherries as well as two identical birds. There is a top that is flat in design and has a "Chinese lion" or "dog" figurine on top. The vase and top are made of ceramic, perhaps china or porcelain and the glaze is a cobalt blue. On the bottom are four "oriental" symbols. It is unknown what they mean.
