Durkee Bottle
Description:
Clear bottle tapers slightly. Protruding rims .5 inches and 5.125 inches from bottom. Shoulder notches in with several ledges and curves to a 1—inch high, 1.625—inch diameter neck. Another protruding rim below screw thread top. Front oval appears to be buckled belt with chain mail glove inside. Lettering on front reads vertically. Reverse has simple oval. Bottom has four—pointed design in center.
Inscription: "E.R. DURKEE & CO. NEW YORK / TRADE MARK / BOTTLE PATENTED APRIL 17, 1877"
