Altimeter with leather case
Description:
A — Altimeter, black metal exterior, glass over front, with ring on decorative knob attached to top. Round face is off—white and printed with three concentric scales in black: Meters (outermost), Feet, and Inches/Pressure (innermost). Written in center of face: "Compensated for temperature / Taylor Instrument Companies / Rochester, N.Y. — U.S.A. / E.D. No. 2105." Diameter: 3" —— Depth: 1.25"

B — Case, brown leather with lighter stitching. Hard—sided pouch (flat top and sides, rounded bottom) with horizontal leather loops (like belt loops) attached to sides and vertical leather loop attached to back. Another horizontal loop on front holds cover in place; cover folds over, tucks through loop, and fastens with metal snap. Interior lined with soft fabric (seems to have been a deep violet, now faded and discolored from age and use). Hand—inscribed on inside of cover: "T. S. Parke / Juneau / Alaska." Height: 4" —— Width: 3.25" —— 2"
