Description:
Wig has beige hair. Back is kinky w/ tight curls while sides and top adjoining face are straight. Lined with netting bordered by up to 2.5 inch border of cloth. Wig follows ear line.
Notes:
Used by George T. Snow. Began performing around 1881. First Juneau performance of Rip Van Winkle was at Palace Theater on April 28, 1887. Later moved to Circle City in 1895—96 where they continued performing. See photo, page 38, in Alaska State Library's "The Snow Family of Juneau, Alaska: A Guide to the Papers and Photographs (MS 38 and PCA 154)"
