Description:
Cardboard box of eight crayola crayons, c. 1954. Box is dark green and saffron—colored; front reads "No. 8 / Crayola Crayons / 8 Brilliant Colors / Binney & Smith / The "Crayola" Makers / Made in U.S.A." On back: "Crayola Crayons" and three lines marked "Name," "Grade," and "School," on which are handwritten in pencil, "Mary Ann Parke," "Grade II," and "Harb[or]view." Lid folds over with curved flap that tucks into box. Box contains eight colored wax crayons ("Red," "Orange," "Yellow," "Green," "Blue," "Violet," "Brown," "Black") enclosed in paper labels.
