Description:
Metal, Hommedieu pattern, bull—nose auger. Spiraled piece of metal creating a long cylindrical shape. One end is flattened on the face. The other end extends and tapers to a square faced point.
Notes:
Augers are drilling tools. Accession file notes say this one was used to make a flat bottom hole.
