Notes:
Glenn Owen Myers was the Chief Quarter Master on the U.S.S. Juneau CL—52. He died at sea when the ship sunk at World War II Naval Battle of Guadalcanal on November 13, 1942. All of the crew received sweaters knitted by women in Juneau. Due to the minimal amount of possessions the crew was able to take with them, many of the sweaters were discarded. Mr. Myers collected sweaters and sent them home to his wife. A member of his family made the extra sweaters into a blanket (2014.15.002).
