Description:
Oval 1984 salmon derby pin made of steel with front side surface decorated with logo, lettering and and date. Back is shiny silver with pin attached. Front is gold with dark blue and white eagle and salmon illustration. There is a banner between the eagle and salmon being held within the eagle's mouth. Text on the banner reads: "GOLDEN NORTH SALMON DERBY". A white star is on the far right and left of button. Blue text with white shadowing above the eagle and salmon illustration reads: "JUNEAU, ALASKA". The same style text below the illustration reads: "AUGUST 3, 4, 5, 1984".
Notes:
Owned and preserved by donor, a longtime Juneau resident and presumably derby volunteer. She goes by "Frankie".
