Description:
Bulging fan—shaped clam has hump—shaped curve in center front edge. Hinge still attached; cracked open .0625 inch. Mottled pink, olive, white surface with patches of surface worn away.
Notes:
Donor's label reads: "FIXED CLAM — Chama pellucida Rocky shores; low—tide horizon. Nearly hemispherical; only an inch or so high; form is quite distinctive — like nothing else to be found in the tide pools. Washed up on the beach at Pearl Harbor"
